[Hack] The Legend of Zelda: Ancient Dungeon (NES)

The Legend of Zelda: Ancient Dungeon es un hack de The Legend of Zelda (1986) para NES creado por arnpoly que modifica el juego de Nintendo para convertirlo en un roguelike, ofreciendo una nueva experiencia al estar centrado en la exploración de una mazmorra generada de manera aleatoria, cambiando su estructura, enemigos y objetos cada vez que se entra por una puerta.

• Roguelike Gameplay: Every playthrough is different and it is all included directly in the ROM file. No external randomization programs needed, just load and play!
• Dynamic Enemy Loading: Normally the overworld and each dungeon has a specific set of enemies available. In Ancient Dungeon, new enemies are loaded dynamically during every room transition. This means there are no restrictions in the combinations of enemies you may encounter in the dungeon.
• Additional Item Abilities: Some special items, like the raft, have no use in the dungeons and are not included in this hack. However, the items that are included may have some additional utility. For example, the stepladder still lets you walk on water spaces, and in this game it also adds extra rooms to the pool of available rooms. There may even be some secret features out there for you to discover!
• In-game Timer: A built-in timer keeps track of your runtime and is shown at the end of every run, win or lose.
• Shops: Periodically the old man will appear to sell you an item. You can buy the item if you can afford it or abandon it there, but if you leave it, it’s gone for the rest of the run
• Seeds: You can choose a custom seed value and play the game in seeded mode, which gives you the same randomized layout every time. This is perfect for setting up races!
• Custom Palettes: New palettes have been added that change periodically through the dungeon, providing a touch of variety.

El parche para poder jugar The Legend of Zelda: Ancient Dungeon se puede descargar desde ROMhacking.net y tiene que ser aplicado a la ROM “Legend of Zelda, The (USA) (Rev 1)” con cualquier programa compatible con archivos en formato .IPS, como Lunar IPS o Floating IPS.
