[Hack] Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles… of Rage (Sega Mega Drive / Genesis)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles… of Rage es un hack de Streets of Rage 2 (1992) para Sega Mega Drive / Genesis creado por eskayelle y Carzj que cambia a los cuatro protagonistas de este juego por las Tortugas Ninja. Además de permitirnos jugar con Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo y Donatello, este hack también lleva incorporado el hack Streets of Rage 2 Restoration, que entre otras cosas sirve para corregir el nombre de algunos personajes y quitar la censura de la versión occidental.

El parche para poder jugar Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles… of Rage se puede descargar desde ROMhacking.net y tiene que ser aplicado a una ROM americana de Streets of Rage 2 con cualquier programa compatible con archivos en formato .IPS, como Lunar IPS o Floating IPS.

Actualización: Eskayelle ha publicado TMNT of Rage – The Final Shell Shock & Re-Shelled, una versión nueva y mejorada de Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles… of Rage que se puede descargar desde ROMhacking.net y tiene que ser aplicado a una ROM americana de Streets of Rage 2 con cualquier programa compatible con archivos en formato .IPS, como Lunar IPS o Floating IPS, utilizando el parche «TMNT of Rage – The Final Shell Shock v1.999.1 [U] [h].ips».

Actualización #2: savok ha publicado TMNT – The Streets of Rage Project, una versión alternativa de TMNT of Rage – The Final Shell Shock & Re-Shelled que añade nuevas características y ataques especiales:

I. Overview:

• A feature of this hack is that the Turtles received their signature attacks.
• You can finally use the drill attack as Raphael !!
• Let’s kick shell all the villains and save April.

II. Features:

• Characters replaced with turtles.
• All turtles have a huge range of unique attacks
• All playable characters can run and change direction and turn around while running.
• All playable characters can jump further while running.
• The command to run (f, f) becomes more sensitive.
• Offensive Special no longer costs player’s own health.
• If the player presses A while running, the player’s character will perform Offensive Special (in the original game, nothing will happen).
• Charge attacks require holding B for only 2/3 second.
• You can use the Defensive Special and Offensive Special when you capture the enemy.
• You can use the Defensive Special and Offensive Special when grabbing an enemy from behind.
• KO count of the players is displayed.
• Mania difficulty is directly accessible.
• Stage selection is available.
• You can choose the same characters.
• Added 6-Button gamepad Support. Back attack now is Y-button
